Sponsored Articles

Sponsored articles on publications your customers already read

A sponsored article is a paid piece of content published on someone else's website and labeled as sponsored. Done well, it puts your brand in front of readers who trust that publication, in a format they actually read.

Your own channels only reach people who already know you

Most brands publish on their own blog and social profiles. Those channels mostly reach existing customers and followers. People who have never heard of you are reading other publications: industry magazines, niche blogs, regional news sites.

Buying placements on those sites yourself is slow. You have to find relevant sites, check that they are real and have an audience, negotiate prices, write to each editor's rules and chase the publication date.

What happens if it stays that way

  • Months of outreach that produce a handful of placements, often on sites with no real readership.
  • Paid links without disclosure or link attributes, which breaks search engine guidelines and can hurt both you and the publisher.
  • Budget spent on sites that look fine on a metrics tool but send no visitors and no enquiries.
  • No record of what was published, where, and what it achieved.

A managed placement, from shortlist to live URL

We match your topic and target market to publishers that cover it, check each site before proposing it, and send you a shortlist with the reasons for each pick. You approve the sites and the brief before anything is written.

Every article is written for that publication's readers, labeled as sponsored on the page, and any link to you uses rel="sponsored". You get the live URL, the publication date and UTM-tagged links so referral visits show up in your analytics.

What you get

Readers you don't reach today

Placements are chosen for audience fit first: topic, language and country.

Compliant by default

Sponsored label on the page and qualified links on every paid placement.

You approve each site

No placement goes ahead without your sign-off on the publisher and the brief.

Measurable visits

UTM-tagged links let you see referral traffic and leads in your own analytics.

How it works

The same approval points apply to every order. See the full process for details on each stage.

  1. Brief

You tell us the page you want to promote, the audience and the markets.

  2. Shortlist

We propose publishers with notes on topic fit, audience and the publisher's own rules.

  3. Writing

We draft the article for the publication's readers and send it to you for approval.

  4. Publication

The publisher reviews and publishes it with a sponsored label.

  5. Report

You receive the live URL, link details and the date it went live.

Examples of how it is used

Typical situations, described in general terms. They are illustrations, not client case studies.

A software company entering a new country

Articles on local business publications explain the problem the product solves, in the local market's context.

A product launch

A set of placements on specialist sites timed with the launch, each linking to the launch page with campaign tags.

A service business in a niche

Placements on the few blogs that a niche audience reads, rather than on general sites with large but unrelated traffic.

Sponsored Articles: questions and answers

Will the article be labeled as sponsored?
Yes. Every paid placement carries a visible sponsored or partner label chosen by the publisher, and any link to you is qualified with rel="sponsored". We do not offer undisclosed placements.
Do sponsored articles help with SEO?
Links qualified as sponsored are not meant to pass ranking signals, so treat sponsored articles as a way to reach readers and build awareness, not as a ranking tactic. Many brands do see indirect benefits such as branded searches and earned mentions, but we cannot promise them.
Can I choose the publications?
Yes. You approve the shortlist before anything is written. You can also suggest publications you would like us to approach.
How long does the article stay online?
That depends on each publisher's policy, which we confirm with you before you approve a site. We report any removal we notice.
Who writes the article?
Our writers draft it unless you prefer to supply your own. The publisher has the final editorial say and may request changes. See our editorial policy.
